PEAK Animal Welfare Standards

PEAK promotes best practices of animal welfare by providing good nutrition, good environment that allows appropriate behavior, good health and positive experiences.

Animal Welfare Committee

With trust and transparency as part of our culture, we have a rotating animal welfare committee who helps create and implement PEAK policies for optimal animal care.

Education & Training

We offer educational tools internally and externally to showcase our commitment and instill animal welfare training for all PEAK employees.

Report Policy

It is an expectation of PEAK that staff immediately report if they see any mistreatment of animals. PEAK requires all staff to participate in animal welfare and safety, and to “see it, stop it & report it.”

100%

Completed Animal Welfare Training Courses by PEAK employees

All staff are educated on PEAK’s animal welfare policies and expectations, including information on how to report any welfare concerns. It is a requirement to complete this training prior to handling animals to be able to identify key clinical and behavioral signs of health or welfare concerns.
